New Industry Advisor: Bengt Schmidt

We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Bengt Schmidt as Industry Advisor Mechanical Engineering. As an entrepreneur deeply rooted in the mechanical engineering industry, he contributes many years of industry experience from which our mechanical engineering customers can benefit in the future.

After 22 years at KraussMaffei, including as Executive Director Process Technologies as well as Head of China Business and Vice President Global Sales of the Extrusion segment, Bengt Schmidt recently founded PlastiVation Machinery GmbH in Munich. Its business model is unique for the plastics industry. The company will develop its own injection molding machine, act as sales agent for an established Chinese manufacturer, and provide service and application engineering support.
