Bengt Schmidt has more than 25 years of experience in medium-sized and large technology companies and is a passionate mechanical engineer: From production management to responsibility for global sales and international management positions, he has shaped and developed companies. Today he is the founder and managing director of the mechanical engineering company PlastiVation Machinery GmbH.

After completing his training as a toolmaker, Mr. Schmidt studied mechanical engineering at the Coburg University of Applied Sciences. He started his career as a production manager at CeWe Color and later moved to Deckel Maho as head of assembly. Then he concentrated on selling capital goods at KraussMaffei. After positions as Head of Key Accounts and Business Unit Manager for the Automotive and Logistic & Packaging segments, he took over sales for the Extrusion segment in Shanghai and expanded it significantly. As a result, he was appointed to the headquarters of KraussMaffei Extrusion in Munich / Hanover and, as Vice President, was responsible for global sales. In spring 2021 he founded PlastiVation Machinery GmbH, which deals with the development, manufacture, and sale of injection molding machines.

Mr. Schmidt accompanies Quantum Partners in projects in the mechanical engineering sector.
