Achim Lederle has worked as an investor, supervisory board member and consultant for national and international companies for over 20 years. He has focused on the retail, internet, software and electronics sectors and has supported companies from their foundation and growth to their sale or IPO. </p>
<p>As a partner at 3i, the largest European venture capital firm, Mr. Lederle has managed transactions ranging from EUR 0.5 to 270 million. He played a leading role in the strategic sale of 3i's global venture portfolio and subsequently continued to manage and successfully sell these companies as a venture partner at Cipio Partners. He began his career in venture capital as an investment manager at the technology holding company VC. </p>
<p>As a business angel, Achim Lederle is regularly involved in entrepreneurial activities with capital and know-how.</p>
<p>After studying business administration at the University of Augsburg, he joined the management consultancy Deloitte Consulting.

Customers are increasingly relying on the online recommendations of other customers when making purchasing decisions. In addition to eCommerce recommendations (“Customers who bought this item also bought …”), recommendations can also be found in other sectors such as for movies or for music. The more reviews there are, the greater the accuracy of the predictions.
The Berlin-based company Moviepilot has established itself as the market leader for film rating in the German-speaking region with www.moviepilot.de. With 5 million unique visitors per month, 2 million Facebook fans and 10 million views on its YouTube channels, Moviepilot has rapidly become the leading provider of personalized recommendations and searches in the film sector.
The aim of the project was to sell the German language portal www.moviepilot.de so that the founders and the international team could better focus on US expansion. An ideal partner was found in webedia and its German subsidiary AlloCiné Filmstarts. As a result of the purchase, the two largest German online movie portals will work together in the future. The international site Moviepilot.com, focused on the US market, will remain independent.
