<p>As a partner at 3i, the largest European venture capital firm, Mr. Lederle has managed transactions ranging from EUR 0.5 to 270 million. He played a leading role in the strategic sale of 3i's global venture portfolio and subsequently continued to manage and successfully sell these companies as a venture partner at Cipio Partners. He began his career in venture capital as an investment manager at the technology holding company VC. </p>

<p>After studying business administration at the University of Augsburg, he joined the management consultancy Deloitte Consulting.

Quantum Partners exclusively advises direct air capturing provider DACMA on financing round by eFuel GmbH
New financing round in the climate tech sector: eFuel GmbH invests in DACMA GmbH, one of the leading direct air capture companies, and thus promotes the development and implementation of innovative technologies for the production of synthetic fuels using direct air capture (DAC), which allows CO2 to be filtered out of the atmosphere. DACMA GmbH is one of the few globally active DAC companies that already has several plants in live operation at customer sites. The systems are produced in Hamburg and delivered to customers in South America and elsewhere.
In addition to equity financing, DACMA GmbH and eFuel GmbH have agreed on the construction of a direct air capture plant in the port of Hamburg, which can filter up to 60 tons of CO2 from the ambient air every year. This CO2 will be used as a raw material for the production of eMethanol or eFuels (CCS – Carbon Capture and Utilization). The plant is regarded as a flagship project in Hamburg and is intended to play a pioneering role in climate protection. The fully-fledged research and demonstration plant will not only further optimize the DAC technology, but will also be presented to an interested audience from science, politics and business. The partnership of eFuel and DACMA thus contributes to the energy transition and offers a sustainable solution to reduce CO2 emissions while advancing the development of synthetic fuels.
This equity investment will help DACMA GmbH to continue on its growth path.
