Quantum Partners advises Omnes Capital on the sale of Turtle Entertainment shares to MTG
Digital media / Live stream / eSports
eSport is set to become the sport of the digital generation. It combines gaming and sports and enables competitive video-gaming at amateur as well as professional levels. Just as celebrities and premium TV content attract traditional TV audiences and drive the associated advertising revenues, professional eSports live streams are the IPTV platforms’ premium content and generate top viewer numbers and reach.
With its brand ESL, Turtle Entertainment has built the world’s largest independent eSports brand and is an industry leader with several online and offline competitions for all major games. ESL’s proprietary, self-produced premium content is broadcast via live online streams. ESL is the leading eSports partner for game developers and publishers as its services enhance the game’s virality, gameplay, and lifespan.
Turtle Entertainment has brought Omnes Capital and two other venture capitalists on board to support its expansion. After years of successful cooperation, the venture capitalists aimed to hand over the company shares to an investor. With MTG, Turtle Entertainment has found a partner with experience in sports broadcasting in more than a hundred countries, who will help ESL to further grow its footprint.
